The Germantown Hose Company #1 is located approx. 100 miles north of New York City on the east banks of the Hudson River. The Department provides fire protection for the Town of Germantown,  New York. Our active volunteers are trained in fire suppression and rescue operations. Our Department operates out of one main fire station. 

Germantown Hose Co. was founded in 1908, Our department serves a rural bedroom community of some 24 square miles in New York's Hudson RiverValley. We also provide mutual aid assistance to several neighboring communities. The Company operates 1 engine, 1 engine/tanker, 1 heavy rescue van, a light rescue/brush vehicle and a Rescue Boat for water rescue in the Hudson River. Our volunteers are also trained in ice/cold water rescue as well as confided space rescue.
